Out of consideration

This is today's trade so far...

The last trade is still floating. I'm not confident about this trade. It's not follow my intention. Of course the last three candles formed entry pattern for SELL (and fulfill the Trade Rule) ... however it's not happen during uptrend. It's happen after the series of candle indicate sideways...

But it doesn't matter. For the sake of this forward testing... I just let it run. Just wait and see what would happen next

P/s : so now, we have to see... is it human intelligent than machine... or the machine intelligent enough and do the job better than human... :p

Update :

Sorry folks... I closed it manual with 2 pips as long as not loss trade... I don't want to gamble the thing :p

Update :
What's happen after I close trade? A few moment later...
Hmmm... The sound funny... I'm the one who create it but then the EA predict market better then me. Or maybe the greatest strength of the machine is not interfered by emotion???

Lets the EA do the job

It's 12:12:59 GMT +8 (new indicator :p)

The last 2 candles for EU, GU, EJ dan GJ indicates that the market moving simultaneously in BULL position. The EA not yet open any position... because the entry pattern not detected. It's only continuous pattern (It's different between ENTRY and CONTINUOUS pattern) and it might too late to enter the market.

But who care? I don't care and no one care... Lets the EA do the job. No need to interrupt the program' s job. :p

The result so far

The EA trade very seldom, get little pips but no loss so far.
From the above screenshot, there are 5 trades and got 67 pips at all during 1 week. It's depend on setting. I have set the properties to make EA trade safely.

It's very sensitive to lock profit, activate the trailing stop and to handle exit whenever the pips already green. The procedure to enter the market also very strict.

Next week, I may put TP=30 pips for each trade.

My New EA

It is called FullHouse EA and the version is still 1.0.

What so different between this EA and any other EA as it exist today? This EA can not be backtested by Strategy Tester. Why? Because the EA calculate the movements of six currencies, namely UJ, EU, GU, EJ, GJ and EG. While the MT4 Strategy Tester only available for only one pair.

Briefly, the procedure used in the EA is based on :
1. Candle Pattern - same procedures used by the Market Sentiment indicator.
2. Measure the strength or level of dominance of the certain currency in the market.
3. After parallels obtained, EA will select the currency to trade based on candle's entry pattern.
4. Some extra conditions applied on this EA to enter the market in a safe position (For example not to enter the trade on the highest or lowest of the Daily price. Don't chase the market) and also there is risk management to cut lose when unexpected movement occurs.
5. And one more thing before i forget. I only use the H4 and Daily Candle signal as the trend.

I thought the idea seems interesting. But so far I am still not sure whether this EA profitable or not.
I will make this blog as a forex trading journal and forward test for this EA.

Thank you

p/s : it just like poker. full house mean three of kind + one pair... :)

Story Behind The Candle - Part 3

What I meant by Strong Or Weak Candle?

It's simple. That is nothing special on how I divide the things although only a few of us do make attention on it. Compare the High and Low of the last 2 candles and what type of the current candle.
  1. If the current candle is BULL and the high and low of that candle is greater than the previous candle's high low... i call it strong BULL.
  2. If the current candle is BEAR and the high and low of that candle is less than the previous candle's high low... i call it strong BEAR.
I thought everybody can accept this. This is basically how I classify the candle... by comparing High and Low.... and everyone should also mention that there is not just 2 cases. And the story also different if the current candle is BULL while current High Low is less then previous. And how about if current candle... for example is BULL while current high greater than the previous but current low is less then the previous? I know that you call it as 'Engulfing'... I talk about the same thing but in the different name or story behind the candle.

From my previous post... I wrote that... by comparing the last 4 candles High Low ... I get 72 conditions at all.

Entry Point

In term of probabilities.... I guess :) .... I get 4 types of entry point.
  1. Type 1 - Strong Fractal. The highest probability. In term of strong... refer my definition above. This is the strongest entry point among the others.
  2. Type 2 - In general... known as Engulfing. In my story, I express that thing as struggling but then successfully change the situation for example from strong BULLISH to BEARISH :). We also get chance to win but sometimes the market goes sideways.
  3. Type 3 - The pattern almost like fractal and it's happen very seldom but possibly this pattern will come out on chart. The pattern is... for example... let say H1 is current candle's high,L1 current candle's Low and the previous variables of candle was L2, H2, H3 and H4. The type 3 occurred like this : (H1 less then H2) and (H2 equal to H3) and (H3 greater than H4) and (L1 less then L2)
  4. Type 4 - Difficult to express how it look like :D.... Refer this formula : (isBEARCandle(i=1) && isBULLCandle(i=2) And (L1 greater then L2) And (L2 greater then L3) And (H1 less or equal to H2)) where i=1 is current candle and i=2 the previous candle.
End.....
